Significant EPA Regulation Affecting Collision Repair Industry

EnviroSafe has provided information on the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA)
Final NESHAP Rule Subpart HHHHHH.

This regulation impacts all collision repair businesses.

A Petition for Exemption or Compliance Certification for all shops is due January 2011.

Here's what's required:

Complete Compliance Certification Process. This includes completing and submitting
the Certification Form and having the required documentation readily available.
Required recordkeeping includes:

1. Records to include copies of Notifications submitted to EPA.
2. Painter training certifications with documentation
3. Spray booth filter efficiency documentation.
4. Spray gun transfer efficiency.
5. MeCl content information (products, quantities of Methylene Chloride and MSDS').
6. Written MeCl minimization plan if annual usage > 1 ton per year.
7. Deviation and corrective action documentation. (if necessary)

If you wish EnviroSafe support we will collect required documentation; produce a recordkeeping
system; provide materials and support to meet painter training requirements; and, facilitate the
completion of the process and timely submission of materials.
The cost of completing the
Compliance Certification Process is $249.
